Portrait Concert // Muzikverein Vienna - 5th March 2025

I’m heading to Vienna in March for a 1 week residency at the MUK University, I will work with the students to prepare a concert of my recent chamber works, in which I‘ll perform electronics, and the ensemble will be conducted by Roland Freisitzer. The programme will feature selections from recent compositions: Techno Suite, HOWL!, and Breaking Screens; plus some favourite influences: Messiaen’s Oraison and a selection from Shostakovich’s 24 Preludes and Fuges which was one of the inspirations for my recent Bach inspired ballet (solo piano excerpts also to be played). The concert will be followed by a discussion on Muzikverein’s theme of the season: ‘How do we want to live together?’
