GBRL PRKV ENS Debuts - 3rd & 5th February

Very excited to be debuting my brand new group: The Gabriel Prokofiev Ensemble (GBRL PRKFV ENS) at two upcoming gigs…

Starting in Brussels this weekend at BOZAR. With a LATE NIGHT classical-meets-electronics set featuring my recent releases: Breaking Screens, Howl!, Litvintenko + Live Remixes and more. Audience members will be invited to move around two different simultaneous performances in Bozar’s halls: my ensemble of strings and electronics in hall M, while in the studio, Olivier Verset (AKA DJ Soul Ableta) will perform a live classical vinyl mix set alongside pianist Fabian Fiorini and double bassist Robin Couderc, who will respond live to Verset’s sound manipulations and loops.

Then, my debut concert in Trieste this Monday 5th Feb. We’ll be presenting music that explores the evolution of sound in chamber music, combining electronics and String Quartet. The program will include a tribute to Theremin pioneer Klara Rockmore (but replacing the theremin with the ROLI Seaboard ), Messaien Oraison, Schnittke Piano Quintet, plus a selection of my compositions for electronics and strings (Breaking Screens, Howl!, Litvintenko), and more…
