HOWL! II - Separation (Violin Edit)
'HOWL! II - Separation (violin edit)' by Gabriel Prokofiev featuring a violinist and a multi-award winner Yury Revich is a single preceding the release of HOWL! EP, which was initially inspired by the 'Arab Spring'. HOWL! is a propulsive cascade of the rise and fall of collective political emotion, mediated through the technology of the past half-decade.
For his main instrument in HOWL! Prokofiev deploys the raw tone of an early 1970s ARP Odyssey Synthesiser, whose oscillations and richness provide a contrast to the anodyne, homogenous sounds we have been groomed to prefer. With a guest appearance from a renowned Austrian violinist Yury Revich, Prokofiev conjures a digital-age orchestra for the internet age, channelling the passions running through the wires that seek to turn blood into information.
Yury is a passionate advocate for many charitable and philanthropic causes and he recently became an ambassador for UNICEF. In 2021, he founded a new environmental awareness series called: 'Climate Nights’, where he performed HOWL! II - Separation with Gabriel Prokofiev.
Together they would like to dedicate this special single version to everyone affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
