Collaborations with Dance

Prokofiev regularly collaborates with contemporary dance. His first full-length ballet work, Ein Winternachtstraum, was choreographed by Cathy Marston and premiered by Bern Ballet (with Bern Symphony Orchestra) in 2011. In 2013 Karole Armitage choreographed extracts and remixes from his Concerto for Turntables & Orchestra. More recent dance works include two ballets solely for electronics; Howl! (Tanz Luzerner Theater/Maurice Causey, 2013), and three works with acclaimed contemporary choreographer Shobana Jeyasingh: Strange Blooms (2013), Terra Incognita (2014) commissioned by Rambert Dance Company, Bayadere: The Ninth Life (2015) premiered at Lindbury Theatre at the Royal Opera House, reviving at Sadlers Wells in October 2017. In 2017 he made his debut composition for Stuttgarter Ballet with a score for full orchestra and live electronics, choreographed by Kasia Kozielska: Dark Glow.
